Amber George

Amber works within the Marketing Department which serves as the official voice for Visit The Woodlands in messaging to meeting planners, leisure travelers, media, and hospitality industry partners. In this position, Amber is responsible for developing and managing content for the Visit The Woodlands website and social media platforms.. 

She holds a certification as a Texas Destination Marketer (TDM) from the Texas Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus (TACVB). In 2022, Amber earned her Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA) designation. The program’s objective is "To increase regional tourism by inspiring front-line hospitality employees and volunteers to turn every visitor encounter into a positive experience."

Prior to joining Visit The Woodlands, Amber worked for The Woodlands Township for nearly six years. During her time with the Township, Amber held several roles including working within the Community Relations department where she served as the Editorial Assistant for The Woodlands Community Magazine and assisted with managing The Township’s website. 

In her spare time, Amber enjoys spending time with her son and attending events in The Woodlands.
