The Woodlands Children’s Museum will present traditional Japanese dancing and a hands-on art activity in honor of Tanabata, an ancient festival commemorating the annual meeting of two of the brightest stars in the night sky: Vega and Altair. Guests can learn the mythology associated with Tanabata and experience Japanese traditions that date back centuries. The live dance performances will take place at 10:45 and 11:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. These activities are included in the museum’s daily admission of $6 for adults and children 1 year and older. The museum is recommended for ages 7 and under.
