It’s time for fall activities and outdoor fun. During the month you’ll see a barbeque festival, a 10-mile race, plenty of Halloween activities and much more. Here’s our top things to do in The Woodlands this October!

Hauntingly Fun Halloween Events

The Woodlands BBQ Festival
October 7, 2018 | 1 to 4 p.m.
Town Green Park  | 2099 Lake Robbins Drive

Savor the flavors available at The Woodlands BBQ Festival, with over a dozen vendors lined up to serve you some of the most well-known barbeque in area! The festival also features live music and children’s activities. Tickets are available for purchase online for $50 each with all-you-eat sample portions. For the full VIP experience, attendees can pay $100 and receive all-you-can eat samples, two drink tickets, a festival tote bag with goodies, festival t-shirt and early entry to the festival. Children 12 and under get in free. Make a weekend of it and stay at the festival’s hotel partner, the Fairfield Inn and Suites.

Thursdays, October 11 – November 15, 2018 | 7 to 9 p.m.

Listen to local and regional sounds as you watch the sun go down on beautiful Lake Woodlands. Located at the Hughes Landing bandstand, and right behind Restaurant Row, this weekly concert series will begin on Thursday, October 11 and continues through mid-November. Grab a bite before the show and enjoy Happy Hour on one of the patios. The patio’s of Escalante’s, California Pizza Kitchen, Local Pour, The Blue Fish and Del Frisco’s Grille all face the stage, if dinner and drinks run late, you won’t miss a beat. If you plan on coming from Waterway Square or other Town Center areas, you can hop on a trolley and not have to worry about parking.

Northshore Park | 2505 Lake Woodlands Drive
October 13, 2018 | 7 a.m. to Noon

This annual fall race produced by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department offers a fun and family-friendly race option. From the 10-mile race, to the 3.1 Armadillo Run (5K) and even the One 4 Texas Kids’ Fun Run, there is literally a race for everyone at this event, register here! After runners cross the finish line they can enjoy a post-race party complete with live music and food and drink options, including brewed options for those over 21. The Official Hotel Sponsor for the race is the Hilton Garden Inn which provides a special rate for race participants, simply use the code 10TX when reserving online. Arts in the Park
Rob Fleming Park | 6055 Creekside Forest Drive
October 21, 2018 | 3 to 8:30 p.m.

Enjoy an afternoon with family and friends at Rob Fleming Park for Arts in the Park! Bring lawn chairs, grab a bite to eat at the food trucks and enjoy live stage performances. This free event features local vendors selling original artwork, children’s activities and a unique live Shakespeare performance of “Much Ado About Nothing” by UpStage Theatre with music by Woodlands Symphony Brass beginning at dusk (approximately 7 p.m.). New for 2018, residents are encouraged to create their very own Shakespeare-inspired masterpiece and enter the inaugural Art Contest, download the contest information here.
