Nick Wolda President
Nick began his career with The Woodlands Township in 1999. During his tenure, he worked on project teams which included the development of The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center, the expansion of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion to nearly 17,000 capacities; and the developments of Market Street, Town Green Park and Waterway Square.
Today, he oversees the implement of The Woodlands Township community relations strategies and CVB marketing programs, including public relations and advertising. He oversees the marketing and promotion of special events and festivals, including the Red, Hot & Blue Festival, The Ice Rink and Lighting of the Doves, among others. He was a founding member of The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival which is now ranked in the Top 10 of all arts festivals in the country. His marketing programs have won numerous awards from the International Festivals & Events Association, International Economic Development Council and several state-wide organizations. Nick has successfully positions public relations articles on The Woodlands in media outlets such as USA Today, Travel + Leisure, Southern Living Magazine, Corporate & Incentive Travel, Golf Digest, Zagat’s and numerous radio and television programs.
A graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, Mr. Wolda began his career as a writer for The Lufkin Daily News and the Houston Chronicle. In his 29 years of marketing, Nick has provided sales, marketing, public relations and advertising guidance to a variety of corporations, companies, state associations and governmental entities.
CVB and Township Responsibilities
As President of the Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau, Nick focuses on the promotion and marketing of over 11 million square feet of hospitality, shopping, dining and entertainment in The Woodlands and oversees communication to The Woodlands residential and business community. Each year, The Woodlands has over 820,000 hotel rooms available in its high quality 14 hotels.
The Woodlands Convention and Visitors Bureau is a 501 (c) (6) organization dedicated to promoting The Woodlands as a premier regional destination for conventions, corporate meetings, shopping, dining, entertainment and a place to conduct business. The Bureau facilitates inquiries from leisure travelers, group businesses, meeting planners and corporations looking for a special place to host meetings, conventions, conferences or just to visit.
Positions in the CVB include Assistant Director, Brand Development Manager and Brand Development Specialist, Convention Sales Manager and Convention Sales Specialist, Administrative Assistant and Intern.
In the role of Director of Community Relations, Nick is responsible for the marketing, communications, advertising, public relations and social media of The Woodlands Township. The Woodlands Township is a 28,000-acre residential and commercial development created in 1974 and located about 30 miles north of Houston, featuring over 200 miles of hike and bike paths, 125+ parks, a full service fire department and millions of square feet of office space with major world-wide corporations. It is governed by The Woodlands Township, a special purpose district.
The Woodlands Township has numerous marketing and public relations tools including The Woodlands Community Magazine, which is mailed to 40,000+ homes, The Woodlands Township’s website and numerous other communication programs.
Positions in Community Relations include Manager of Community Relations, Community Relations Specialists, Social Media Specialist and Administrative Assistant.
Elizabeth Eddins Assistant Director
Elizabeth Eddins served as the Director of Tourism for the Beaumont Convention and Visitor’s Bureau for the past 10 years. During this time, Elizabeth led Beaumont’s development of Cattail Marsh, the city’s 900 acre water reclamation center, establishing it as a premiere birding and nature destination. She has also successfully led the Beaumont Destination Training, a local awareness and lead generating tour that has turned over 3800 locals into “Beaulievers.” Elizabeth’s destination training and tour has been used as a model for tourism professionals across the state of Texas and beyond.
Elizabeth currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Association of Convention and Visitor Bureau (TACVB), a state-wide organization providing exemplary destination marketing education and advocacy for its members. She is the current Education Chair that oversees the 2017 TACVB Annual Conference that brings together over 400 Texas tourism professionals. She also serves as a board member for the Texas Forest Trail Region, a tourism initiative that supports 35-counties in East Texas.
In 2014, Eddins was presented the Rising Star Award by the Texas Travel Industry Association (TTIA). The Rising Star Award is presented to a young professional in the Texas travel & tourism industry who is recognized for their accomplishments, demonstrated leadership, and commitment to the industry and TTIA. As Rising Star, she held an honorary position on the TTIA board and served as the Young Professional Committee chairman.
Emilie Harris Brand Development Manager

Emilie Harris serves as the Brand Development Manager for The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau. The Convention & Visitors Bureau is a non-profit organization whose mission is to position The Woodlands as a regionally, nationally, and internationally recognized destination for leisure guests, individual business travelers and groups of all sizes.
Visitors to The Woodlands and residents of the community enjoy more than eleven million square feet of world-class shopping, dining and entertainment options, more than 200 miles of hike-and-bike trails, 135 parks, the 1,700-acre George Mitchell Nature Preserve, The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, kayaking on Lake Woodlands and taking a cruise on The Woodlands Waterway. The Woodlands features world-class sporting events including the Memorial Hermann Ironman Texas, Insperity Golf Championship and the Nike South Invitational. The Woodlands also is home to more than 2,200 guestrooms in upscale and boutique properties, select service, limited service, conference and convention centers and a resort.
As Brand Development Manager, Ms. Harris oversees all marketing and public relations efforts at the CVB including advertising, special promotions and social engagement – all designed to promote The Woodlands as a premier destination for corporate and convention meetings, leisure travel, events and festivals.
Ms. Harris graduated from Sam Houston State University in August 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations and Advertising and a minor in Marketing.

Molly Jennings Marketing Specialist
Molly Jennings serves as the Marketing Specialist for The Woodlands Convention and Visitors Bureau. Molly works closely with Emilie Harris, Brand Development Manager, to market The Woodlands to leisure travelers. Molly’s main focus for the 2016 year is to monitor and manage social media accounts and increase The Woodlands’ presence on platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Additionally, Molly will assist in the digital efforts of the CVB including website updates, app development and future blog content.
Molly is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations. Molly has an impressive background in social media marketing. While in Oklahoma, Molly worked on marketing campaigns for the Oklahoma City Thunder and several local businesses.
Off the clock, Molly enjoys rooting for the Oklahoma Sooners (Boomer!), surviving her workout boot camps and taking her husky-wolf dog to the dog park just to show the other dogs who’s boss.
Alie Broussard Convention Development Manager

Alie Broussard serves as the Convention Development Manager for The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau. The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to position The Woodlands as a regionally, nationally, and internationally recognized tourist destination by developing quality marketing programs and events to attract visitors and stimulate economic development and growth.
As Convention Development Manager, Mrs. Broussard promotes The Woodlands to businesses, associations, and various groups for meetings and events in The Woodlands. She also assists with the coordination of meeting details and services before, during and after a meeting/convention while acting as a lead contact for both the meeting planner and the local hotels.
Mrs. Broussard received her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a Concentration in Marketing from The University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She then went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the University of New Orleans. Mrs. Broussard has a background working in hotels at various locations including New Orleans, Cheyenne, Wyoming and Fort Collins, Colorado. In her previous role, Mrs. Broussard was an Executive Meeting Manager for the Fort Collins Marriott. There, she coordinated meetings and group sleeping room blocks for the Corporate Market Segment.
Aside from her role at The Woodlands CVB, you can find Alie working on her fitness, attempting to bake healthy treats, and snuggling with her two handicapped rescue dogs Chloe and Walter.
Josie Lewis Convention Development Specialist

Josie Lewis serves as the Convention Development Specialist for The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau. The Convention & Visitors Bureau is a non-profit organization whose mission is to position The Woodlands as a regionally, nationally, and internationally recognized destination for leisure guests, individual business travelers and groups of all sizes.
Josie works closely with Alie Broussard, Convention Development Manager, to promote The Woodlands to businesses, associations, and various groups for meetings and events in The Woodlands. She will also act as a lead contact for meeting planners and local hotels, work within our Customer Relationship Management program and assist with The Woodlands CVB Convention Development Program.
Josie graduated from The Hilton School of Hospitality Management within The University of Houston with her Bachelor’s degree in Restaurant and Hotel Management. Josie started her career in front office operations within the Downtown Houston market and most recently gained experience in hotel sales as the Sales Coordinator at The JW Downtown Houston.
When she’s not in the office, Josie enjoys searching for the perfect cup of coffee at any and all local coffee shops. She also loves movie nights with her family and attempting fun new recipes.
Danielle Gatlin Administrative Assistant
Danielle serves as the Administrative Assistant for The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau. The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to position The Woodlands as a regionally, nationally, and internationally recognized tourist destination by developing quality marketing programs and events to attract visitors and stimulate economic development and growth.
As Administrative Assistant, Danielle prepares the Board of Director meeting materials and agendas in addition to keeping the meeting minutes. Along with other administrative duties such as maintaining purchasing records, she will also be responsible for helping market and publicize The Woodlands as a destination through The Woodlands CVB’s initiatives. Danielle also handles meeting scheduling and TWCVB President’s calendar.
Prior to joining the CVB, Danielle worked for Magnolia ISD as the campus secretary and oversaw the planning of graduations and campus events as well as the budget and travel arrangements.
In Danielle’s free time, she enjoys trying all sorts of new things from Sprint Triathlons with family and friends, Mud Runs with her boys to all day baking extravaganza’s with her daughters! She is always looking for ways to spend more time with family!
